The trouble is thy still require next of kin to sign off unless you have it in a written document such as a living will. I do think that helmetless motorcycle riders, base jumpers and hang glider pilots, should all be considered automatically donors but lawyers would never allow that.
They have people trained to request organ donations from grievng families but thay actually only get to less than a third of the people they should be askng around the Cincinnati area. I have a sister that works with kidney transplants and she was telling me how nobody could reach those"professionals" from December thru the end of January. I agree they deserve vacations, but thats a busy time of year for car wrecks and gun shots. I'm sure theyd get more donations if they were more active about asking.

You should be required to sign your donor card to get a motorcycle license.

True.  I haven't always felt this way.  It just seems like the last couple of years I've witness some very reckless driving.  And when that type of reckless driving creates deadly crashes,
its more difficult to have sympathy for those who knowing did reckless deeds.
I've seen 2-3 crotch rocket take off together, doing wheelies from one stoplight to another
stoplight.  I've also seen a motorcycle do a wheelie thru a "RedLight."  This "In Your Face"
recklessnees, will surely provide organs for some lucky person.... if there is anything left.
Hope you had a happy holiday
