I always took my cushion out of my wheelchair and used it.
The staff always accomidated my request.
Never had a problem getting to a bar (in the terminal) during lay-overs, and always found helpful hands and smiling faces.

I'm going on a plane trip to new York in July. I'm concerned about sitting on the plane seat and sitting in a Manuel chair during layovers. What type of cushion can you use on a plane to relieve pressure?
