Great Posting Bobbie! Now that's the Bobbie I remember. What
great advise.
I've always advocated "The Self Improvement Course" as part of the rehab
program
in major rehab hospital and among the insurance companies that have to pay
those bills.
Just as I truly believe that a college graduate is usually better prepared
for the business industry that someone with a high school education, anyone who
incorporated a self improvement program as part of their rehab usually did
better than those who just completed rehab.
Physical Trauma, is a very humbling experience. Just ask anyone who
has experienced one. Finding out that your mind is the same, but you body
responds different that it once did is both a major shock, and humbling.
Once again, the old grasshopper addage.
Higher Education, Self Improvement, Executive Training, Toastmasters, Gale
Richards-corporate improvement or just as simple as a Norman Vincent Peale book,
is better than
nothing.
I sincerely hope that your response was read and reread by the members on
this list, as it contained a very important message. "You need to be your own
best friend, before you can build on other friendships and relationships."
Is it easy. No. But you have to start sometime... why not
now.
Again, great words Bobbie!
Best Wishes
W
