I'm guessing a bad connector pin in the wiring harness or molex connector.  Wires contract when cold and expand when temps are hot.  Kinda like those old muscles. Loss of power or temp loss of power, even a mili-second will cause the system to shut down and need rebooting.  Find the bad/defective pins and your worries are over......

No, it does not work that way.  The only time I have had any error messages was in the extreme cold even after leading my vehicle warmup.  All you need to do than is shut the system down and reboot.
