I'm glad to hear your surgery went well. They always look big the first few times you see them but it sounds like they did a good job.

I wonder somedays if I would be better off at home because I feel like I'm not getting it here. Last night my catheter leaked so my bed was wet. The cna came in to change it Then it leaked again, just then I knew that it was clogged and it was about time to change it anyhow so I told them I needed a new one. They didn't have the size I needed on this floor and waited for transport to bring it up. He came up an hour later but never got the message about the catheter. I just kept leaking, sitting in a mess. I finally got it a couple of hours after that and I still needed to do my bowel program. I brought the magic bullets with me but things didn't run smoothly. I usually go every 3 days considering since I went on Tues., I tried last night. I waited a longtime and nothing. The only thing that did come out was the suppository. I normally go sitting up and change fo diet/meds. I ended up going a couple of hours later but didn't empty. Has this happened to anyone else after doing your bowel program sitting up for so long?So the patient care whatever's started pushing me out of the door before I could even act like myself. Asking if I were going home or not. The doctor said they asked him 5 times and he said no that he is keeping me. Anyhow I am pretty sure that I will go to a rehab facility but it's a matter of who has a bed. I might have to turn one down. This hospital is rated one of the top 100 but I don't see how with the nursing. Some are nice but the majority aren't really helpling that much. I rarely see them to tell you the truth. I then have a few great ones who do everything that they can. Iknow in rehab facilities and nursing homes, the nurses are more underpaid here so there is a shortalge so they are pretty thinned out. I have the weekend to think about it. The mattress was ordered by the case/social worker and can always be cancelled.All in all, so far health wise I am doing great. Way better than I expected.Stacy
