When my dog was really ill he had a great vet student at the university.  When I told the student that I thought he was one of the best  Dr's I'd ever encountered, he told me that he originally wanted to be a nurse.  He chose vet school because he felt he would have  more interactions with his patients and their families.  HOW TRUE.
