There are lots of sites that sell many help tools for any of that, you may try different types because some are very good others may not work as well depending on each person. I used to use a ink pen holder to write but I learned to do ok just practing with a black flare pen and just positioning it in my hand certain ways. I still use a cuff type tooth brush holder -mine has velcro and I just use my teeth to quickly turn the brush over--there are so many sizes of toothbrush handles--just find the size that fits good and buy a few. As far as toothpaste, If you have no-one handy to help put it on the brush--I just suck a bit out of the tube, it comes out easily--some quads never even bother to put the cap back on it. Handling money can be kind of hard, what I do is use a plastic lottery card holder and give it to the cashier they put my change back in it. I also use a debit card , it is the best way to do major shopping and so on.  Others will give you more idea's -- the ladies may know more on putting on make-up. When I need to pick up newspapers, coins or things on the ground , I use a tool called the Quad Gripper that can be bought  online as most all quad help items. I just keep it hanging in a handy spot on my wall near a doorway.  Where there is a will-- there is a way.....Good luck and hang in there...keep asking questions too---other quads and therapy workers know quite a bit.                        Dan-------c-6   Almost 9 yrs. post
