You live in a great area of Texas! I am a bit envious. HEHEHE. That is a good idea to use the cool vest!
I have heard that people just continually stay wet especially after a shower. But again, it is all what one gets used to. The population of Texas and the citizens who love the state ... say a lot about the state itself.
The Woodlands are a classy part of urban Texas. Did you grow up there?

Moving that far south it is a different world than Houston area. I
survive the heat with a "cool" vest. Looks like a hunting vest but
has pockets inside where you place chemical ice packs. They last
from 4 - 6 hours. There are days when I wear it inside the house
with the air conditioning running. It gets that hot.
Hope you speak spanish if you are coming to Texas. It is spoken
almost as much as English.
