How far west in Texas do you live? I live north of Dallas/Ft. Worth and east of Abilene in Wichita Falls. We are pretty green and have good fruit trees, and a few good wineries in this part of the State, but most of our weather comes in from the Chihuahua Desert to our southwest, so our humidity isn't nearly as bad as in Dallas or Austin. We have a population of just over 100,000, and do have a growing medical community, too

Both are greener than here in West Texas, but much less humid that Houston, San Antonio, or Austin, and have good medical centers, rehabs, etc.
