I've heard psych students do stunts like that to get a better insight on traumatic injury cases but thats a truely twisted crowd there. I was thinking that normal folks wanting to be in with us would be more along the munchhausen type disorder than transgender. This is an excellent point John. I've had family and friends who I've talked in to sitting in a w/c and do everything the way I do so they have an idea "what it's like"
It helped them quite a bit.
