I would like to find out how others handle some situations. I have been turned down by community transportation I applied because my lift in my Van needs repair and it's not safe to use. Community transport denied me saying I had access to a Van. I've explained over and over the lift is in need of repair and I'm on a limited income and cannot afford the repairs. Their position is that it's not their problem and I must use private transport. I've called one private company to arrange a trip to the doctor and back and was told the trip would cost me $740. For a 16 mile trip. I haven't tried private ambulance yet that's next. I decided to use my own transportation till it leaves me stranded.
