Angie,
It really doesn't matter what everyone else has ... it comes down
to what you want, what you need, what will work for you and what your
budget is.
For example, we have an Olympus 8 megapixel with all the bells and
whistles possible, multiple lenses, high-speed shooting, huge memory
cards for both high-quality and low-quality images and so on and so
on. But WE have this because photography is one of our main
hobbies. Not JUST a casual hobby.
On the other hand, my able-bodied niece recently purchased a Kodak
EasyShare digital camera [I forget the megapixels [6 maybe] but all
her pictures are phenomenal to look at]. She loves the size of the
camera [small] and the simplicity of it to use as well as how easy
it is for almost anyone to download and file photographs.
Ours, on the other hand, is bigger and bulkier but that is what we
want and need.
My niece paid a little over $200 and ours was close to $700 or $800
[I can't recall now]. We use Windows XP and we used to have a six
megapixel Kodak camera [still have it actually] and both the Kodak and
the Olympus work fine with Windows XP. In fact, cameras are so
versatile nowadays that it would probably be harder to find a camera
that wasn't XP compatible.
Good luck! Don't forget eBay but then you don't have a
warranty unless it is from an eBay store or something.
Options, options, options!
Lori

This is close to

Olympus is easy and takes great pics.

cameras
Hi gang- What types of digital
cameras does anyone have? I'm looking for info on some.
What brand, pixel count, Windows XP compatible, zoom, telephoto lens
or not, and cost are the stats I'm looking for. Anybody's help/info
would be appreciated. Thanks everyone- Angie
