Congratulations Austin! You won this battle. Next one may be
the war! Just make sure that you are not being set up and do your
homework. Best Wishes

I thought I would give a follow-up to the group on my transportation
problem. I faxed and the governor and the Transportation Department. My first
telephone call from the Department of Transportation informed me that I could
access my pharmacy, dentist and eye doctor and all of this would be considered
medical trips. I told the nice man I was talking with that decision was still
unacceptable. I told him that my doctors determined that social interaction
outside the home was absolutely necessary to maintain good mental health and
he also determined that a person must eat as a medical necessity. That was on
Friday and today I got a call telling me that I have been approved for public
transportation.
I have been asked to consider running for an at large
city Council seat. The person pushing this has begun soliciting people to do
the legwork and get the necessary petitions to save me the filing fee. And
I requested all of the paperwork required to operate a public utility here.
Now if I can find a grant source I might just do it. if I knew a lot about
computers and such I would create a web site and try to contact everyone in my
state that has had similar problems. I just found me a new hobby of making
interesting workdays for community transport here.
Hope everyone is
having a terrific day. Austin
