This event is graciously sponsored by the Chicagoland Speedway, Andretti Green Racing, Restorative Therapies, Sunrise Medical and the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation.  The goal of this event is to provide a fun-filled, behind the scenes day of racing for individuals who are spinal cord injured or other disability and to share experiences, goals, hopes and dreams.

The Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation (SSPF) (www.samschmidt.org) helps individuals overcome spinal cord injuries and other neurological disorders by funding scientific research, medical treatment, rehabilitation and technological advances.  This research also benefits stroke victims and people diagnosed with ALS, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases.  SSPF also funds quality of life programs throughout the country benefiting people with paralysis and other disabilities and through its national Day at the Races programs.  SSPF works tirelessly in its advocacy efforts both locally and nationally.

No proceeds from the Sam Schmidt Paralysis Foundation are used in the motor sports program but the Foundation benefits greatly from the exposure that the racing program provides.  Donations may be made to the Foundation at any time.
