In the past six weeks, several calls came into IAADP's Information & Advocacy Center from assistance dog partners in different states who were distressed by the treatment they received when they tried to shop at a Wal-Mart store.
Before contacting Wal-Mart, the International Association of Assistance Dog Partners would like to find out if there may be other guide, hearing or service dog handlers who have had similar difficulties in recent years.
If you or a friend has had a negative shopping experience at Wal-Mart, we'd really appreciate hearing from you. Please send a copy of your reply to [EMAIL PROTECTED] . Or if it would be easier due to your disability or other circumstances, you are welcome to call at 586-826-3938 to provide input.
The goal of our survey is to document whether there are additional cases of access denial or other problems that should be addressed by Wal-Mart's corporate headquarters.
Another way you could help IAADP ! with this Advocacy outreach effort is by forwarding this Survey to email lists that you might be on with other assistance dog partners who may not belong to IAADP, to give them a chance to respond.
Thanks so much for considering this request!
