As is the norm for the many, many years that this hunt has been held ( with minor changes), it will be the week-end after Thanksgiving. Now to help accommadate the helpers we will hunt on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning ( that will be Friday 24th and Saturday 25th). The Ironmen will feed us and clean the deer.
We will meet at 12:00 noon at the Montgomery Hunting Club. You can reserve Fiday night at the Pine Lake Motel ( at a special price). Rick Murphy told me he has 10 rooms reserved.
This year there will be 12 kids that have a terminal disease there plus we will furnish 15 folks with a disability.
Rick Murphy told me the other day that the mile marker number right at the turn off is # 88 on highway 231 South. As you are going south from Montgomery towards Troy, you would come to Sike and Kahn Country Mall on your right. Continue south and you will come to a road that comes into 231 and it is highway 94. Keep going south until the 88 mile marker, take your right, the road is paved to start with but it soons turns to a dirt road. keep going until the road takes a left turn that is about a 90 degree turn. At this turn go to the right through the gate to MHC ( Montgomery Hunting Club ). In a short - short you will come to the lodge and the big tent that we will be using.
