Everland. In a perfect world... things would be perfect. When one
incurs an SCI, you never know what the end results will be or bring. Some
are most fortunate to thump the bladder, while most can not. Others start
out thumping and end up using Texas or Florida Foleys. The becomes a
personal issue with you and your Uro. Maybe a Supr Pube is the way to go,
and maybe its not. Each method presents its challenges and benefits.

I also thought it would be nice or not to have to worry about blowing the catheters (condom caths), so supra-pubic was the best option for me, but I agree with you it is easier to prevent infections without the indwelling catheters. |
