There was a guy in my rehab hospital in '67 who had severe copper poisoning from a liver disorder. We steered clear of him because he grabbed one quad and tried to strangle him. He was pretty easy to dislike because he couldn't talk or communicate - just drool and grin. It was kind of like disliking a rabid dog because he had rabies. I find it hard to imagine us quads as a community hating someone because they are injured. If WE aren't sympathetic to our own, what hope is there for the general public to be compassionate?
