Bladder stones were my down fall with the Foley causing severe AD. A superpubic is still indwelling! still a tube and bags! After 15 years of wearing a Foley catheter my bladder had shrunk. AD was beginning to occur almost every day. Severe headaches, sweating, and blood-pressure through the roof.
My urologist recommended that by bladder be augmented in the new pathway was put in through my belly button. They use part of your intestine or appendix to make a "new" bladder. This is that the best thing I have ever done since my spinal cord injury for my body. I am the C6 complete quadriplegic. I'm able to catheterize independently anytime and or anywhere. It has also a bit less inhibited about sex. Although the Mithronoff and augmentation is a hospital stay and some major surgery it is well worth it. You can have the mith and not an augment depending on your bladder size/capacity If you have any questions about it I would be happy to answer them, privately if you prefer. Also you can do a search at www.sciwire.com <http://www.sciwire.com/> as many have had this procedure there. _____ From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, February 16, 2007 10:54 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [email protected] Subject: Re: [QUAD-L] Re: /mitrofanoff In a message dated 2/16/2007 9:37:22 A.M.
