Dear Wheelchair Warrior, Hoosier ADAPT has been selected to receive Purdue University’s 2007 Focus Award. This award is given annually to those affiliated with Purdue University who have made an outstanding contribution to the furthering of Purdue’s commitment to disability accessibility and diversity. Focus Award honorees are selected each year in the following categories: faculty, staff, student, and organization. Hoosier ADAPT has been selected to receive the organization award. You will also receive a letter informing Hoosier ADAPT of this honor. Purdue University will honor the 2007 Focus Award recipients at “Room for Everyone,” a reception to be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2007, beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the West Faculty Lounge of the Purdue Memorial Union. Mark Zupan, a paralympic rugby player and star of the Murderball documentary, will provide remarks to be followed by the presentation of your award by Vice President for Human Relations Alysa Christmas Rollock. Please let me know at your earliest convenience if you and other members of Hoosier ADAPT will be able to attend this special event. You are welcome to bring guests.
