Hi, I have been on our local city's Commission for People with Disabilities for a year now and our first job was to pump up our web site. Now we are getting into the whole handicapped parking issue. We are trying to figure a way to make things better - like spanking violators. We have had the local police representative in to our meeting and he has offered some ideas. Now we would like to create a link from our web page to a police email box whereby the general public can report violators by license number and then the violator would get a friendly note written on official police department letterhead that big brother is watching and disapproves of his parking etiquette. (Our fine is 124$ and goes to 160$ if not resolved within 14 days.) We are hoping to put notices on the H/C parking signs that 'problems' with the reserved spaces can be addressed at our web site. It's a lofty goal but WTF, we have to try something.
