I have very good use of my arms while I'm in my wheelchair but I have no grasp with either hand but I can flex my left wrist up real well but my right wrist is limp. I where a plastic splint on my right wrist to give me functionality and now I have, like I said in my last post, a mechanical brace that gives me grip when I flex my wrist up similar to having tended transfers. Since I was able to work, drive and do other stuff with my left hand I was not willing to take a chance of having a failed tended transfer surgery when I could get the mechanical brace and have 100% guarantee that it would make me more functional.
