Not finding the microphone stand for dictation, Mother of necessity touched
my shoulder. I simply taped the microphone to the drinking straw of my
water bottle. With books bellow the bottle to correct height, I can again
pull my chair up to the microphone to dictate.

My injury level is at C5, so unless aid is available to put on my headset, I
am reduced to single key punch. Accuracy is lost some but using the
dictation with some physical interaction, an acceptable level of accuracy
and production may both be acceptable. The mounted microphone has more
accuracy but the stand method has a pay-off to the more impaired.
