If you sign up for their news letter, X-10 runs specials all the time.
I've gotten their light and appliance modules at bargain basement
prices, along with wireless cameras and recievers.
Not only can I control lights etc, but I can see who is at the door,
in my front room, or my computer area from bed.
I can also arm an alarm or set my computer and/or VCR to record via
movement in front of one of the cameras. It can also automaticaly dial
several emegency numbers with a message.
All with no monthly fee.

I use a X10 remote with a transmitter and appliance modules. This may not
be exactly what you're looking for, but it works for me. In order for me to
turn on my ceiling fan I had to buy a pretty expensive (in my book)
heavy-duty appliance module for your wall switch.
Anyway, here is the information on what I use.

I also have to use a transceiver which can be found at this particular
website.

However, I would do some searching on the web to see if you can find what
you need a little less expensive. There are several reliable vendors on
eBay that sell many of these components. Also keep in mind that you don't
need all of them, but you do need at a minimum the remote control,
transceiver, and at least some light or appliance modules to control the
items.

upgraded my light to the "Twist Compact Fluorescent Light ". My lightbox and
light switches will not work now. It's fine when I put back the old bulbs.
So I thought I would look for another light system, any help.
