I was having a pretty stressful time and luckily had an appointment
scheduled to get a facial. I don't have these very often, usually every
year or two, but this one felt great considering how bad I was doing
emotionally at that time.
The sad thing is that night I ended up with two rather large spots on my
chest there were ozzing. Well, I had my caregivers use 4x4s to get rid of
the discharge and then the next day did the same thing. However, the
following day I decided to put on a dressing and needed to shave my really
hairy chest in order to accomplish this. Once we saw how nasty these things
look after the shaving (I used the trimmer that wouldn't take off any excess
skin) I immediately decided to go in and see the doctor.

I just thought I would get advice on how to dress the wounds properly, but
he was extremely concerned. He thought it was a bacterial infection or
something else. He tried to call dermatology, but they wouldn't see me,
even though I have an appointment coming up this Tuesday. Now I am at home
with an antibiotic and dressing the wound three times a day. We still don't
know if there was something that was transferred during the facial, but I
find it difficult to believe that something used on my face could cause so
much damage on my chest. Especially when you know that my facial skin is
extraordinarily sensitive.

I'll let you know what the verdict is when I get back from dermatology on
Tuesday. Needless to say, I needed to get a few things off my chest.
