I hate to sound ignorant, but I try to go by the motto that the only stupid
question is one that wasn't asked. With that in mind, what is Lifeline?

    Quadius,

The switch only activates my Lifeline. My ECU is activated via voice which
can control anything with an IR remote and X-10's.

    Mike,
what do you use the switch for? To control lights or fans.

    I'm married now… but, I lived alone for 14 years (c-3/4 complete).
Nighttime was always the most difficult for me. Obviously though, it can be
done. For me I have an ECU (Sicare pilot) which operated a telephone, heating
blanket (ON MY SHOULDERS ONLY), fan, TV, VCR, etc. Then, as a supplement – a
Lifeline bite switch hanging above me. Lastly, a straw going to a water mug.

I am always wondering how higher spinal injured people do it alone. There
must be a great support group. I do not but I wonder if that is only my fear
in spite of technology. Must take a lot of trust to newly met people.

      It's a beautiful day!

Welcome to the quad-list, you are a newbie 10 mo post. I'm Lindaf, I am a
C4-5 complete but I live alone in my apartment in Valparaiso, IN. Again
welcome

      Lindaf

    Hi Linda,

How do you get by living alone at night? Do you sleep on an air mattress so
you can avoid different sleeping positions? Do you wear a life line? Sorry for
all the questions, just curious.

    Diane
