My chair both tilts and reclines. Years ago no matter how often I did pressure releases my skin always broke down. Since getting a new High Profile, I never do shifts, even over 30 hours. This is not advice, but those cushions must have the correct cover on, and the right inflation. I found out the pressure on my own, the pressure mapping did not help. Just one day it all came together. The cover was one size too large. Some folks do not even use a cover.

They differ so greatly. What might work for 100 people, won't work for 2 others. Hence, it might be more prudent to consult a wound specialist. Pressure mapping may also be needed to consider your future prognosis and how you will heal. The band aid approach hasn't worked in the last 4 years. Now its time to consider a wound specialist... I have been battling a substantil pressure sore on my rear end for nearly four years. It absolutely refues to heal. I just bought a highprofile roho and hope that helps. my question - would it be worth the money (about $1500 out-of-pocket) for me to invest in a tilt chair? I have a standard invacare arrow now. Would this be a worthwhile investment or could I spend the money on something more worthwhile? Please help me guys, especially if you have experience with a tilt chair. _____ See what's free at AOL.com <http://www.aol.com?ncid=AOLAOF00020000000503> .
