Congress has a choice: either subsidize insurance companies or
continue coverage for low-income children. To us, it's a
no-brainer.
Yet some members of Congress would rather see windfall profits
for insurance companies than funding for children's health care.
Thanks to Medicare Advantage, insurers have filled their pockets
with taxpayer money while never producing any savings--money
that could be used to fund children's health insurance. Not only
do these plans engage in unethical marketing practices, but they
lead to huge profits at taxpayers' expense.
