Dear Dana,
Since hitting the theaters, Michael Moore's "SiCKO" has
generated much-needed dialogue around America's approach to
health care. These conversations begin in small groups outside
the movie theater and continue at home, work and online.
The buzz around the movie is hard to avoid. We've received a
number of e-mails about the different ways communities are
galvanizing around SiCKO.
One way our advocates are using this film as a tool for change
is by organizing local discussion groups where individuals share
personal stories about how they've been affected by our costly
and convoluted system and discuss ways to become part of the
solution.
There are so many good ideas for using the film to inspire
action that we thought they deserved to be shared and posted on
our site.
Click here to view our new webpage where you can share your own
ideas for action and personal stories about your health care
experiences:

What kind of organizing has your group done around the release
of the film? What ideas or solutions were discussed in your
office, home or meeting groups? Do you have a similar story that
could have been in the movie?
The thing is, we're not the only ones who want to hear your
story - Oprah Winfrey does too. Oprah is committed to doing her
own investigation of America's health care system and we're
helping her collect personal stories of how people have been
affected.
Tell us your personal story or share ideas about ways in which
your organization or group has used this film as an impetus for
change.

Today, as the health care debate moves to the center of national
conversation, this is an opportunity to become part of the
solution by sharing ideas, stories and strategies.
Sincerely,
Julia Eisman
