I started the quad-list, vent-users list and tmic-list (for people with transverse myelitis) back in 1996. At the time, the 2 main list groups were the scipn and mobility list. Both had become very political during that election year and there was not other place where quads and spinal cord injury people could talk about other issues. I think email list groups should have a narrow topic focus and people can subscribe to multiple list groups to fit their interest.
