I would think the most obvious danger is our inability to cough. I've never met
a long-time smoker that didn't develop a nasty cough -- my dad, for one. I
can't imagine the possible agony of that scenario.

Im curious what the natural dangers or the added effects on your quad body are?

Before my accident id smoke cigars from time to time…..

Hi All,

Just curious.I am a C5/6 complete quad.I have been smoking a pack a day for 18
years.Any other quad's smoke?I have been trying to quit for 2 years. The doctors
tell me the smoing will kill me before any other quad related issues.I know it
is brainless to smoke. The habit is so hard to quit.Stay smoke free all.

You could very well become one of our best advocate for non smoking, once you
decide to quit for

good, lol. No one, including me needs to tell you the natural dangers or the
added effects on your quad body

from smoking. Your doctor and nurse have covered that already.

What you need from us is understanding and support in your efforts to achieve
your goals.

Best Wishes
