Another thing to consider is most surgeons dont even see a syrinx as a reason
to do surgery. They will argue with you saying that the syrinx might not be the
reason for the pain or loss of function. Well.......a syrinx does cause pain as
well as a 100 other things and dont let the docs brainwash you on this point.
As far as lasers .......I was never offerred that as an option.
I have told many people how bias the medical community can be. Albert Pujols
can get a surgery on his pinky because he cant move it as fast........but a
spinal cord individual cant even get a surgery when he is in dire straits with
pain and loss of function. I have had to seek a counselor on this very issue.
I guess when you roll into a neurosurgeons office they look at you like why
bother on a surgery your damaged goods anyway. Thats my opinion .......of
course people will disagree on this.....but I think I speak the truth on the
majority of surgeons.
