I've been using different padding on this hospital mattress. My skin is
beginning to show excoriated areas. Bony areas are starting to show reddening.
Do they get upset when you state "insurance policies" are the cause of health
problems? It isn't as if you can say there is another reason for wounds
appearing. I'm supposedly eligible for a mattress overlay but they are playing
games with that paperwork.
The rolling on my right hip pushes that hip out of socket where a bone spur is
making it bright red and warm to touch as is both cheeks.
I'm drenched in sweat as the morphine wears off no matter what position. The
seizures are not daily but every third day.
I don't know if this stuff is that bad or its just my skin which has never been
a strong point for my health. It seems like I've always battled sores since
breaking my neck.
I'm open to any suggestions? It has to be economical. At the moment there is a
mattress with a doubled over comforter and 3 inches of memory foam held in
place by a tight fitted sheet. It is soft but Im limited in ability to change
pressure areas. If the specially designed back for my wheelchair comes soon, I
may not need the bed except for changing clothes.
I think it sort of bugged me that one of my religious sisters has set a
deadline for God to heal me. I was informed that "this can't go on like this!".
(She only started talking to me a few years ago.)
In all honesty, I can't say I remember a lot from before my accident, but I
think I may have pissed off God, or he has one of those really dry senses of
humor. She keeps telling me to write a check for an air mattress. Isn't writing
bad checks the same as stealing? I loose so many religious relatives about this
time of year.
At least y'all love me??? huh?? lol
(yes I'm on drugs!)

Peace and love to y'all,
john

P.S. I needed to rant. These red areas scare me.
