How ya Doin. Here is the problem I face in regards to teethpullers. At one
time I was dead from the neck on down. Since then I carry around additional
baggage as a result of my T-1 condition. Diabetic, blood clots, failing
kidney's (presently at 47%) and high blood pressure, plus several smaller
peripherals thrown in for grins. The original nerve damage from the crushed
spinal
cord shut down every bodily organ except the heart and lungs.

When I was finally released from the hospital, I asked the neurosurgeon what
I might expect during the forth coming years. His answer was, "You're
alive, so you are ahead of the game. From now on, you're on your own, so
expect
anything."

Consequently, when I reported this to the prospective oral surgeons, they
all tell me, " Thanks, but no thanks.

Some months ago, I pushed ahead with the issue of tooth extraction and had
10 removed. The oral surgeon was not concerned with my quadriplegic status,
and put me under with general anesthetic. When I came to, 10 teeth were gone,
but so was the oral surgeon and his nurse. They left and went to another
part of the city, leaving only a young intern girl and my wife to greet me. I
awoke extremely sick (caused by the agnostic), and before I realized it, I
was put in a wheelchair and wheeled out into the middle of a parking and left
there. Two days later I was back in the hospital with infected lungs.

For the last 6 years I have been without a physiatrist, as my rehabilitation
center (Van Mater Rehabilitation Hospital in Rockford, Illinois) has had
none available. This has changed now though, as I am finally being assigned
one. I can hardly wait.

Perhaps the addition of the physiatrist on my medical team will enhance the
issue of finding an oral surgeon.

Thanks for listening. This list actually plays a more important therapeutic
role than many of the health professional assigned to monitor our physical
conditions, because the list members here walk the walk on a daily basis.

Thanks for listening and allowing me to blow off a little steam. Bill of Il.
