I use a quadjoy myself. I have the basic USB quadjoy windows detects as a generic USB mouse. I also use the onscreen keyboard that comes with Windows Vista... I plan to make my own soon.. Get her extra sticks! That's a must!! Good luck, having computer access will hopefully lift her spirits as it did me!
