Nothing can ruin a person's credibility worse than a rumor being proven  
wrong.  Back during a horse and buggy day, rumors were spread very slowly  and 
often took months to travel the width of our great country.  Today,  with the 
internet, rumors can be spread in seconds from one side of the world to  .... 
the 
other.
For this reason I usually choose not to forward those bulk emails that  
suggest.... "Pass it On."
 
For as in the past, when one loses there credibility, it is most difficult  
to recover and restore.  The speed of the internet hasn't made that process  
any easier.......
