I finally found a rehab Dr. about 18 months ago, and after three visits she moved out of town J Santa Clara rehab is about 4 to 5 hours away, so I just see a plain old Dr.. My Dr. Is actually a second year resident at UNR Medical school, and I really like the concept. Not only do I get one doctors information, they have to report daily to their supervising team and they get input from them. It is very workable. I was 5 foot six and about 160 pounds when I broke my neck 17 and half years ago. Am I now 5 foot six? But I weigh about 132. I got down to about 115 which was way too thin, but I have no problem staying between 125 and 135. I average around 1000 calories, which includes a protein shake every day. I am very badly lactose intolerant, but I have learned to live without all my favorite cheeses. I have absolutely no motion or movement beyond a shoulder shrug. My hands are flaccid, which I think is better than clenched. I’ve got a great life, and tomorrow is my 69th birthday, which we will celebrate with all my family. I’m getting a new German shepherd puppy from Salzburg, She will not be arriving until June, but I can hardly wait. It’s been several years since I’ve trained a dog-I was a professional dog handler from 1960 to 1977, and was fortunate enough to be able to show all over Europe and England.
