Were all these people given vancomycin that came close to dying ? I think the news reports are making more people aware of how easily they can help prevent MRSA infections by frequent hand washes and using gloves and masks when changing caths, dressing wounds, etc. However, some news reports have sensationalized it to the point that it's beyond being rational.
