In the beginning of aftermarket door operators, there were trials and error. Usually at the expense of the innocent owner who didn't know any difference. Often the pulley did not line up properly and caused unusual wear and tear. Most of the time it was the 3/32 AC Stainless Steel cable. When they snapped or frayed anything could happen and in your case...... it did. Best Wishes In a message dated 4/29/2008 6:19:16 P.M. Central Daylight Time, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes:
I have an '01 Dodge - my door opener is after market. When mine 'fell apart' I had the wire replaced, two idler pulleys, and a roller in the door. AArou7nd 450$ as I remember. He said they 'fall apart' every couple years down here in AZ, more often up north in the snow. Great stuff, huh? AZDAVE **************Need a new ride?
