I use one made out of material that I have had to have the person make. Each end has probably 3 inches of Velcro or more to adjust it to how tight or how loose you want it. I can't even remember where I got my very first one in the 1980s but I probably visited the local occupational therapy department because they have so much of that material type stuff.
Then, when I wanted more than one (one around the chair and my waist daily and one around my upper torso when in a vehicle) I was in a different situation whereby I knew my home health agency nurse very well. 1997ish. She was excellent at making all kinds of material do-dads for her patients. With me being female, she even made me different colors but I usually chose black or white. Especially the one around my waist because it goes under clothing. If I wear a white top I do not want a black strap but it's not always the case that it shows through. When I moved more than 2000 miles away here to Arizona in 2001 I contacted her to see if she would make me a couple more to ship to me. She did but she must have used a different material because it was close, but not quite close enough, to what she used to make and the Velcro was worthless as well as the strap material in a very short period of time. They usually last years upon years. I did not want to hurt her feelings or have her have her go out of her way anymore since she did not charge me for the straps or the shipping and handling. So I met a lady nearby and she looked at my old ones and then traveled all over town looking for different material stores to get the material, the Velcro, and the proper thread. She made me two more and I am still using those. Good to see that you are still alive and kicking! If you have more questions... just ask.
