Well in this particular case you are wrong about the latter. I personally cannot say whether you are correct about the first or not. I don't really care whether our currency has that slogan on it or not. It is never bothered me and I would probably not be going out on a limb to say that more than 80% of the country do not want to make the change.
I am all in favor of separation of church and state, but in this particular case it's a generic slogan about God. It's all perspective. I am truly glad you're faith is sustaining you.
