Matt,
I suffered from this malady for quite awhile before finally getting it under
control. In my particular case, remember not everyone of us is the same, so
yours might be different, I believe my putrid smelling urine was the result
of bladder stones.

I had visited the doctor numerous times trying to figure out a solution, but
nothing seemed completely eradicate the putrid smell. It did help me to
increase my vitamin C intake as well as drinking more clear fluids, but it
didn't completely eradicate the problem. BTW, I also was drinking about to
Mountain Dew so day and this definitely didn't help the problem. Now if I
drink too much caffeine, the urine does smell bad, but not that putrid smell
I experienced before.

Anyway, what resolve my problem was having my bladder stones removed.
Take care,
Quadius
