This is one for a PT to setup. Most likely you need Hip Guides They should be nicely padded because they are a source of constant pressure. I have protective panels beside my calves that have foam holding my legs sort of inline. You may need a lower back support in case you lean. So, in short, you need your doctor to fax an order to a PT to develope and make an orthotic seating system. You should do this everytime you have a new chair. You will be amazed at the difference at how much different your chair will be. I feel better in my chair than I ever could in a bed. If I sat in an uncustomized seat, I'd be in incredible pain. Oh yea, I have a lot of wornout joints and deformed boney prominences. I've seen people in chairs look so uncomfortable and power chairs can crush your legs and feet if you don't protect them. I drive pretty well, but theres always some stupid thing that can happen. As paralyzed folks get older our joints tend to wear badly because our bodies don't repair bone properly. Obviously, some of the disconnected glands under our brains was suppose to control that, and now, they don't do anything right if anything at all. I sure miss those hormones.
