I have a question & need some opinions on what to do. I was going to OT & PT
all last year. In July I got sick and was in & out of hospital after that.
There were a few times I had to call in and not attend therapies. When I was
there I was working with an OT to use electric handsplints that would open my
fingers up more and eventually I would be able to use my hands more since there
pretty much closed. Well the OT suggested I get these splints for my home. Well
I quit going to therapy because I could not commit to it once I was better
because I had to come back to work fulltime. He lent me the equipment for my
home until I could find out if a agency could pay for me to have my own. Well
the agency approved me to get splints. Now he is stating because I can't
committ to attending therapy he would like to hold off on me getting them so
basically he won't see me to get the splint fitted with the company. I know how
to use them somewhat.  The agency who
is purchasing them can only keep my case opener a little longer. My caseworker
said he had no right to deny me especially after he was the one who requested I
get them. She is trying to get ahold of him. These splints aren't cheap and I
could never afford them on my own. So what do you'll think I should do?
