Hi John,

Who makes the TDX SP? What kind of hand made adaptations are you getting?
What is CMS?

It has now been 13 months since I began the process of getting a new
wheelchair. it has to have so much hand made adaptations it would be cheaper
to buy a better chair that doesnt charge extra for things they consider
standard. I'm getting a TDX SP. (stop laughing) Considering all the special
stuff on it, It isn't hard to imagine it taking them longer. The
disappointing part is when you learn that stuff only takes a few days, the
hold ups were caused directly by CMS. I'm sure glad I started getting this
replaced as soon as I was eligable. There is no way on Earth CMS could get
me a wheelchair in a timely fashion if the thing was dead. When they deliver
my new wheelchair, I should just begin working on getting it replaced. I've
heard it said that the biggest cost of a power chair is the CMS paperwork
involved. Considering all the phone calls and do over office visits, my
chair may set a record in paperwork costs. Final fitting is june 8th. I'm
sure I'll just smile and thank everyone. I try to make those involved feel
they have really accomplished something. After all, my chair probably caused
the economic meltdown.

Best to all,

john
