I received this information about Dave's funeral. Hello, I was in TX the last several days and wasn't able to check my email, sorry about the delayed response. Dave's memorial service was on Sunday, we had lots of family there. It was a beautiful service and the flowers that were sent from the Quad List really added a nice touch. That was so thoughtful! I wrote Dave's Life Sketch, or eulogy I guess, and used a lot of his own words from his posts on the Quad List archives. I also printed off alot of the posts that you all had written about him recently and took them to TX for my mom and Dave's sons to read so, truly, your condolences have already been received. We have been very touched by them. Another contact point, though, if you'd like to use the US Mail would be my mother, Helen (I have deleted this for security reasons, if you would like the mailing address please contact me at [email protected]). She has been passing on all the cards and letters she receives to Dave's sons after she reads them.
I wish you could have had the chance to actually sit down and talk with Dave. He was a gifted storyteller and would have had you laughing till you cried! We were the ones telling stories about him this last weenend, though. And we all did some laughing and crying.
