I tried going through the Google Adsense program to make some Internet
'easy' money. I realize that I am stubborn and sometimes slow to pick
things up but I worked about a week setting up my Adsense account and website.

I am retired from a 25 year career of working on/with computers and am
currently ok at making websites. From what I understand, you make adds such
that when people use Google to find products like yours, your add appears in
their result list. When your add shows up, you pay Google a few cents,
and when someone clicks your ad, Google pays you a few cents. Now the thing
is, you have to direct these people somewhere relevant to their search.
If someone searches for a common item, a million results are returned - to
be one of the top ten on the 1st page, you would have to be very lucky. If
they searched for round bottles with square tops and that's what your ads
were about, you'd be one of the few links returned and have a good chance
at making some money. The trouble is, you'd have to have a bunch of round
bottles with square tops to sell or direct them to someone who does.
Most of the 'help' you find on line basically shows you how to set up
a site to help others to set up a site which shows them how to help others
set up a site helping others........ No one really has anything tangible
to sell, just the information to help others set up sites as "Affiliates"
helping others set up sites.
IF you already have an Internet business selling round bottles with square
tops, this plan might help, but doing this AS your business is pretty much
of a high tech circle-jerk.
If anyone knows otherwise - please jump in with details.
