Hi my name is Wendy and I was taught that spasms can indicate something
wrong with your body, such as MRSA, UTI, BACTERIA (ecoli), anything like
that. I would have a blood and urine culture done. Just a suggestion..

Subject: [QUAD-L] Spasms--pain

Have any of you ever developed body spasms after years of not having much of
them before?? each day after i get up about 4 hours my back muscles seem to
tighten up and as pain increases I get body spasms, my only relief is strong
narcotics such as hyrdocodone or oxycodone-----my doc now gives me the
stronger one of those without the tylenol or things in it. ( i'm scheduled
to see a neuro surgeon--but he can't see me until mid-or late november )
and even then its to evaluate if surgury can help me. Me and my wife
suspect a uti is causing some of this but the urologist I got does not want
to treat unless I get severe symptoms.--he had me on a pic line in about
april.... then took me off after a week of one anti-biotic--telling me I
still had pseudamonas and another type bacteria but the counts had lowered.
My urine smells awful but when I get a urine sample to the urologist, he
just say's--( no treatment recomended ) funny thing with me---i never get a
fever since becoming a quad. 12 years ago. Dan H.
