It straps to my forearm and hand with velcro straps. When I lift my left wrist it transfers the movement to my index and middle finger so I have a pinch capability. This is only practical if you have some arm movement. If you can't raise your wrist there are static designs that use a small electric motor and batteries. Another uses a CO2 cartridge. I had a hard time using makeshift straps and splints that only did one job. This is like a hand. Best wishes, john PS. She said it looked like 2 rings going around 2 fingers and holding a fork, etc. Not the single blue 1 finger ring I’ve seen. Anyone seen something like this? Right now I use the Wanchik Writer. I tape a fork / spoon where the pen is supposed to go. Thanks, Greg
