I keep a 1500lb come/along in my tool kit. These chairs simply do not have a "manual". Either you have power or you need a high school wrestling team to make it go anywhere. I had a bad cell in a battery about a year ago. I was told on the phone that never hsppens with gell cell batteries. He wouldn't take the hundred dollar bett though. A come along is a simple cable ratchet device that gives your aid a lot of power to pull the chair without pulling their guts out. Just hook one end to something static like a sign post, or bumper and the other end to your chair and drag it along. Suddenly dead batteries is often a dead cell in one battery.

I'm having trouble reaching the mode button with my pencils with rubber on my splints. It was running pretty well until today my aid was taking me to my mom Oscar house and when I got there the chair was dead. Any of you who have one know how hard it is to wish the chair out of a van and into the house on manual. It was after 5 p.m. so I could not call the dealer. Has anybody else ever have a problem like this and what was it? Dana (C-4-5, 35 years post, 56, Prairie Village Kansas)
